This is fully understandable from a political perspective; it would be nearly impossible for him to govern the country having lost or "lost" the popular vote by three million. We may have a sense of relief that we've been saved the ordeal of witnessing recounts and legal challenges. But for Bush and his minions, this is a bitter victory, won at the cost of much killing and deception. For people interested in social justice, the real work now begins.
